I Panamerican Modern Dance Congress in Rio de Janeiro 19th-23rd July 2019 organized by the ACD-Dance Arts Ambassador
Ms. Andrea Raw
Choreographical composition of the ACD-president Tatjana Christlebauer and final performance of the students: Árvore da Vida2030
in which the movement research and the process of composing were initiated by Talk sessions on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, targeting specifically the gender roles and the process of transformation as a “shift of weights”.
Árvore da Vida2030 was created as a combination of lecture on UN SDGs, focusing on gender roles and stereotypes, the unequal position of women/girls in the global society, art potential for transformation of realities through choreographic composition.
Hommage to artist Schröder Sonnestern´s Moralische Praxis - painting variation by Austrian-born international artist and ecological activist Friedensreich Hundertwasser who has planted more than 150.000 trees across continents,
was taken as an essential inspiration for the creation of dance choreography Árvore da Vida 2030
The title Árvore da Vida2030 (Tree of life) describes a widespread in the world’s mythologies and relates to the concept of the sacred tree which symbolizes immortality and fertility.
The headless women as the main motive of the original painting by German artist Schröder-Sonnenstern and its further development by Hundertwasser were “transformed” by dance performance into agricultural aircraft for hydroseeding, led by a female pilot.
The professional role of Joelize Friedrichs, an agricultural female pilot from Brazil, was taken as inspiration to transform the symbolical role of women associated with „birth-giving“ (as on painting) into a professional role, as an agricultural pilot.
j´óelize Friedrichs become ACD-Ambassador for the F*Air-initiative.
Cordial gratitude to organizers, participants, and all supporters, with special thanks to the Austrian State Chancellery and the Hundertwasser Private foundation!
